I always saw it as something like one of those shock buzzers? They hurt, but they dont do much actual damage.
In the comic frisk mainly fainted from the cold (theyre in a t-shirt and shorts the snow) and the shock kinda builds up over time? It hurts the more it happens. Or at least thats how i interpreted it.

) which is japanese for the letters “N” and “G” which, together is NG or NO GOOD
So my username is actually short for NO GOOD hahahaha
